Taking its title from a chapter in the 1997 book, this one presents an entirely different angle than his previous books because this one does not so much deal with human failure or human error (there is some recap, of course). Instead the book focuses on occasions that humans were the main factor to turn a wrong situation into something right - human as the hero instead of human as the cause of trouble. I think it therefore leans more towards resilience. In the final chapter, titled “In Search Of Safety” Reason presents the rubberband model (about competing objectives) and talks about positive safety.
